With T20 World Cup just days away, former India head coach Ravi Shastri believes that Team India can go deep into the marquee event despite not having the likes of Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja in the squad.

While terming Bumrah's injury unfortunate, Shastri said that the unavailability of Bumrah and Jadeja hampers the team's prospects a bit but also provides an opportunity to unearth a new champion.

Shastri further stated that the key is to start well in big-ticket events like World Cup and get to the knockouts first. He said the Men In Blue then have got enough strength to even win the tournament.

Rohit Sharma-led side has already left for Australia and before their World Cup opener against Pakistan, they are set to play as many as 4 warm-ups to get used to the conditions.
