Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan withdrew from the upcoming Pakistan Super League as he recovers from a back surgery he underwent in November.

Khan, who has played for the Lahore Qalandars for three consecutive PSL seasons, was retained by the franchise in December despite knowledge of his unavailablity for the 2024 season but could eventually be retained for future.

Khan also missed the 3-match T20I series against India in January 2024 and previously also withdrew from the Big Bash League and the SA20.

As per an ESPN Cricinfo report, Rashid Khan is undergoing rehabilitation to be ready in time for the IPL 2024 with Gujarat Titans.
