'People call me the unluckiest cricketer but...' - Sanju Samson shared the 'support' from Rohit Sharma

Sanju Samson, Indian Wicketkeeper-batter, shared about being left out of the ODI World Cup 2023 band and expressed his insights into an interaction he had with the Indian Captain, Rohit Sharma, in the latest interview on a YouTube channel called 'I AM with Dhanya Verma'. 

Sanju shared that Rohit was the first among the team, who acknowledged and appreciated his performance in the IPL. 

Sanju revealed that Rohit reached out to him by saying, 'Hey Sanju, wassup. You performed well in the IPL but hit too many sixes against the Mumbai Indians. You bat really well.' Sanju further quipped that he had great support from Rohit.

Although Sanju couldn't make it to the World Cup squad, the 29-year-old expressed gratitude for the encouragement he received from the captain. 

Unluckiest cricketer?

Talking about the opinions that label him as the "unluckiest cricketer," Sanju shared his positive approach towards his career by stating, "People call me the unluckiest cricketer, but where I've reached currently, It's much more than I thought I could."
