In a major blow to Pakistan, in-form pacer Naseem Shah will take no further part in Asia Cup 2023 as he was ruled out after injuring his bowling shoulder in the game vs India.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) medical panel is monitoring Naseem and is 'taking all necessary precautions keeping in mind the ODI World Cup, which starts in less than a month's time.'

PCB has named Zaman Khan as his replacement, who has also started training with the Pakistani team.

The statement further added that Haris Rauf continues to recover well. He did not bowl on the reserve day of the India vs Pakistan game after feeling discomfort in his right flank.
