There may have been a virus break out in the England cricket team's camp in Pakistan but that couldn't stop the Three Lions to run riot in Rawalpindi.

English batters tamed Pakistan on Day 1 of the 1st Test as they finished at a record-breaking 506/4 at stumps. Interestingly, they scored those many runs in just 75 overs. With that, England became the first side in the history of Test cricket to have scored over 500 runs on Day 1. It was also the 2nd highest score on any day of a Test match.

Batting first, the openers put together a 233-run stand, with 174 runs coming in 27 overs of the 1st session itself. Zak Crawley, Ben Duckett, Ollie Pope and Harry Brook scored a century each. England is also the first team ever to have 4 centurions on Day 1 of a Test.
