In a bizarre occurence, the ongoing one-off Test between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka was halted on Day 2 after a monitor lizard crept onto the field.

On Saturday morning in Colombo, the reptile was spotted near the boundary rope during Sri Lanka's batting. Consequently, play was stopped as officials attempted to remove it.

However, reports state that the lizard returned to the other side of the boundary all by itself.

Earlier, Afghanistan were all out for 198 on Day 1.
