After PCB expressed its displeasure over their request for a venue swap for the World Cup 2023 being turned down by the ICC and BCCI, Wasim Akram had his say.

The former Pakistan captain feels that they have a very good ODI side and are led by 'one of the modern-day greats in Babar Azam.'

'As long as they are fit and as long as they play according to the plan, they will have a chance of doing well in that World Cup because it is played in our type of conditions in India on the sub-continent,' Pakistan's former pacer added.

Pakistan will open its World Cup campaign on October 6 and will take on India in the most-anticipated clash on October 15.
