Pakistan Cricket Board's election commissioner and acting chairman Ahmed Shehzad Farooq Rana has announced that the elections for the chair will be held on June 27 at the board's headquarters in Lahore.
In a press release, Rana said that the election schedule will be issued after receiving nominations from the department.
While the elections are yet to take place, Zaka Ashraf who has served the board previously as the president is the strongest contender. He joined the board earlier this week after being nominated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Najam Sethi, who was the head of the interim management committee that was running PCB has opted out of the race for the chairmanship of the board.
