After India's top order collapsed, India has pinned its hope on Ajinkya Rahane of rescuing the Men in Blue from the difficulty position on Day 3 of the World Test Championship Final against Australia.

India who are chasing a mammoth 469 finished Day 2 at 151/5 with Ajinkya Rahane and KS Bharat on the crease.

And former South African cricketer AB de Villiers heaped praise on Rahane who is unbeaten on 29.

Acknowledging his return to the Test format, ABD tweeted, 'I have never seen Rahane move so well! Technique is sound and playing it late.

The 35-year-old after string of poor performances was dropped from the Test side last year. His brilliant performances in Raji Trophy, Duleep Trophy and IPL eventually helped him pave his way back into the Team.
