Mumbai Indians unveil franchises for UAE & South Africa T20 Leagues

The owners of IPL team Mumbai Indians, Reliance Industries, unveiled the team names & brand identity of their new franchises of UAE & South Africa T20 Leagues.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the owners revealed that 'MI Emirates' and 'MI Cape Town' will be the names of the UAE and South Africa-based franchises respectively.

Both the teams will adorn Mumbai Indians' colours of gold and blue. 'The new entities take the iconic Mumbai Indians identity and weave in the local influence', the statement read.

Nita Ambani, the director of Reliance Industries welcomed the new franchises and said that the franchises embody the ability to dream, be fearless and foster a positive attitude in life. ‘I am sure that both the MI Emirates and MI Cape Town will embrace the same ethos and take MI’s global cricket legacy to even greater heights’ She added.
