Mirroring the widespread success enjoyed by their Indian counterparts, MI New York clinched their maiden MLC title on Sunday, defeating the Seattle Orcas in the process.

Chasing 184 in Major League Cricket's inaugural season final, the MI New York team comfortably reached their target with 24 balls to spare.

It was the Nicholas Pooran show in Texas as he played a blistering knock of 137* off just 55 balls to be rightly adjudged player of the match.

He also was the high-scorer of the tournament. Meanwhile, Seattle Orcas' Trent Boult scalped 3/34 in the final, becoming the highest wicket-taker of MLC 2023.
