If murmurs in the media are to be believed, former Australian opener and coach Justin Langer could become the next head coach of the Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL.

According to a Cricbuzz report, sources within the IPL have indicated that discussions have taken place between Langer and the franchise.

The 52-year-old has a successful track record, having led Australia to victory in the Twenty20 World Cup and guiding the Perth Scorchers to multiple Big Bash League titles.

While LSG has not commented on potential coaching changes, if an agreement is reached, Langer would replace Flower, whose two-year contract with the franchise has come to an end.

No other changes to the LSG support staff have been discussed, with Morne Morkel, Jonty Rhodes, and Vijay Dahiya expected to continue in their respective coaching roles.
