KKR received a double joy ahead of IPL 2024 auction as Shreyas Iyer returned to the squad after missing IPL last year due to injury and Gautam Gambhir also joined the team as a mentor. KKR released its veteran players like Shakib Al Hasan, who represented the side for several years and along with Shakib, they also released 11 others, seeking a major reboot in their squad for the upcoming season.
KKR made the biggest buy in IPL history and bought Mitchell Starc for a whopping INR 24.75 crore and along with him they also picked Team India's Test wicket-keeper KS Bharat.
