After not getting a single game in the 3-match ODI series that India won 2-1 in West Indies, Yuzvendra Chahal though made sure to show his prowess in the 1st T20I at the Brian Lara Cricket Stadium in Trinidad but the question is -- will his performance in the T20I series be enough to seal his spot for the upcoming Asia Cup?

The 33-year-old who was brought into the attack in the 4th over, instantly made an impact by removing both the Windies openers. While Kyle Mayers (1) was adjudged lbw on the first ball of his over, 2 balls later, Brandon King (28) too was trapped in front after missing a straight ball.

Chahal's early exploits helped the Men in Blue restrict the hosts to 149.

While the 33-year-old has only played 2 ODIs this year, he has only taken 3 wickets. Yes, his prowess in T20 cricket, like he showed in Trinidad, does make him a great option for Team India to have in the Asia Cup. But, as it stands, Kuldeep Yadav is still ahead of him in the pecking order in 50-over cricket.
