After heavy showers poured the hopes of fans down the drain on Sunday, India and Pakistan will prepare for another showdown on September 11 with the reserve day kicking in at Colombo.

Continuing from where the match left off, play will resume at 3 PM IST and if rain does not play spoilsport, the game is expected to last all of the remaining two innings.

But weather forecast has predicted rain in the Sri Lankan capital from 4 PM.

According to AccuWeather, there is a 73% chance of showers, just one hour into the match.

With an hour's respite at 6 PM, the met department expects thunderstorms to make a return at 7 PM with a 63% chance of rain.

The weather is slated to remain cloudy for the rest of the evening and there is just a 51% chance of showers expected at 10 PM.
