In a surprising move, Pakistan have announced their playing XI for the game against India on the eve of the match itself.
In a post on Twitter, Pakistan Cricket confirmed that they will field an unchanged XI from their win against Nepal, where the Men in Green triumphed by a mammoth 238-run margin.
Babar Azam, the captain of the side, had led the team from the front then, scoring his 19th ODI century to propel the home side to 342 in the opening clash of the Asia Cup in Multan. For Pakistan, Babar, who's also the No. 1 ODI batter in the world remains crucial. However, they also have Fakhar Zaman and Imam-ul-Haq as openers, both of who are part of the Top 5 in the world rankings.
While Shadab Khan took 4 wickets in the previous match, Pakistan possess a number of other spin-bowling all-rounders in Mohd Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed and Agha Salman.
The pace trio of Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah remains for India to contend with, and the Indian openers will be hoping to keep them at bay during the first 10 overs.
