After a breathtaking century in the second T20I, Suryakumar Yadav received a special mention from veteran New Zealand pacer Tim Southee.

Southee, who took a hattrick in the 2nd T20I, heaped praise on Surya but feels that the Indian batter still has a lot to prove as he has just started his T20 career.

Southee said, "There has been a number of great T20 players from India, so many great cricketers. Surya has been having a great 12 months and it is for him to continue to do what he has been doing."

Southee will lead New Zealand in the third and final T20I match against India in Napier. India are 1-0 up in three-match series after the first game was washed away.
