Ravindra Jadeja's heroic return to the Indian side was marred by the controversy on Day 1 of the Nagpur Test as Australian media highlighted an incident where the left-arm spinner was seen putting something on his bowling hand before an over.

On Day 2, when broadcasters showed Michael Vaughan's 'never ever seen this' comment on a Fox cricket tweet, India's former coach said that if the match referee doesn't have a problem with it then why are we discussing anybody else?

Shastri also added that on this Nagpur pitch, the ball will turn on its own.
