Former England captain Michael Vaughan appeared in front of the Cricket Discipline Commission in London to defend himself from discrimination charges.

The 7-day hearing is taking place over two years since his ex-Yorkshire teammate Azeem Rafiq made claims of discrimination and bullying across two spells at the club.

Rafiq alleged Vaughan said there are "too many of you lot, we need to do something about it" to him and three other Asian players in 2009 while they were all at Yorkshire.

England bowler Adil Rashid – who will give evidence via video link from Bangladesh - and former Pakistani bowler Naved-ul-Hasan Rana have corroborated the allegation, which Vaughan has categorically denied.
