After performing terribly in the 2023 edition of the Indian Premier League, Delhi Capitals has reportedly decided to part ways with their head coach Ricky Ponting.
As per reports, former Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly will likely replace the legendary Australian cricketer as the coach. The former Indian captain who rejoined DC as Director of Cricket in 2023 will also continue to serve the role.
Though Ponting led the team in their first-ever IPL final in 2020, Delhi has had 2 bad seasons consecutively and they finished in the 2nd last position in IPL 2023. DC's entire coaching staff including Pravin Amre, James Hopes, Ajit Agarkar could also face the axe.
