After BCCI made it mandatory for players to come through domestic cricket for Team India selection, the board has made an exception by letting Jasprit Bumrah decide when he wants to make a comeback.

According to a Times of India report, the team management and BCCI want Bumrah to be available for the home Test series against Australia and the WTC final in June if India qualifies and then the ODI World Cup in India in Oct-Nov this year.

However, if reports are to be believed, the pace spearhead might need more than 1 month to be back to full fitness after rehabilitation and he might miss the majority of 4 Tests against Australia at home. India vs Australia Test series is set to begin on February 9.
