Kanitkar will join the women's team in the upcoming five-match T20I series against Australia, which starts on December 9 in Mumbai.

As per the BCCI restructuring module, Powar will now join VVS Laxman at NCA and will switch to men's cricket.

Under Powar's coaching, the Women's Team failed to qualify for the semifinal of the 50-overs World Cup in New Zealand while settled for a Silver in Birmingham Commonwealth Games.
