BBL team Sydney Thunders have terminated Fazalhaq Farooqi's contract with immediate effect following an investigation by Cricket Australia’s Integrity Unit.
A disciplinary complaint was made against Farooqi and after an investigation, the CA Conduct Commissioner decided that the player’s contract be terminated'.
While the details of the incident were kept confidential, CA and the BBL team said they received a complaint about Farooqi’s behaviour last Thursday. They also said the affected individuals are being offered support.
