After 4-0 humiliation in the Ashes series in Australia, Chirs Silverwood stepped down from the post of England head coach. Silverwood was the second significant departure after Ashely Giles was sacked from England's managing director's position.

In a statement, Silverwood said, " The last two years have been very demanding but I have really enjoyed my time with the team."

He further added that he is leaving with fond memories and looking forward to spending some quality time at home with my family and embracing the next chapter.
