The 2022 Commonwealth Games came to an end on Tuesday evening with a spectacular closing ceremony at the Alexander Stadium in Birmingham.
The CWG flag was lowered and handed to Victoria, Australia which will host the next edition of the quadrennial event. Veteran table tennis player Sharath Kamal and ace boxer Nikhat Zareen led the Indian contingent during the closing ceremony.
The ceremony celebrated Birmingham's ethnicity and culture and local bands like Dexy's, Music Youth, and The selector performed. Singapore's Table Tennis player Feng Tianwei was given the David Dixon award before Birmingham-born rock legend Ozzy Osbourne brought down the curtains on the 11-Day long gala.
