CWG: Weightlifter Vikas Thakur wins Silver in Men’s 96-kg category

India’s Vikas Thakur has bagged the silver medal in weightlifting.

With a total lift of 346 kg, the weightlifter from Punjab won his 3rd consecutive medal at the Commonwealth Games.

His 2nd place finish was India’s 8th medal in the weightlifting discipline at this year’s event.

Vikas, who was placed joint third after the Snatch event with a lift of 155kgs, lifted 191 kg successfully in the Clean & Jerk to take home the silver.
