Bengaluru, Sep 12 (PTI) - Bengaluru FC has unveiled its state-of-the-art Centre of Sports Excellence, representing a significant stride in bolstering football infrastructure in India.

The club, gearing up for the 2025-26 season, will commence training on India’s inaugural hybrid pitch as highlighted in their recent announcement.

This innovative hybrid surface blends natural grass with synthetic fibers, ensuring durability and consistent performance year-round.

Adjacent to it lies a nine-a-side natural grass pitch, catering to both first team and youth squads, offering diverse training scenarios that mimic competitive environments.

Beyond mere playing surfaces, the facility boasts a world-class gymnasium tailored to the team's physical conditioning requirements, alongside specially designed dressing rooms that emulate professional matchday atmospheres.

Vital to player wellbeing, the center equips ice-baths and recovery areas dedicated to post-training recuperation.

Bengaluru FC owner, Parth Jindal, remarked, "Despite the challenges facing Indian football, our dedication to nurturing its growth has been unwavering since Bengaluru FC's inception.

Our new training centre reaffirms this commitment."

"The national team utilized the facility while preparing for the successful CAFA Nations Cup campaign, and we aspire for it to be the preferred training venue for Team India moving forward.

With six club members in the Indian lineup for the CAFA Nations Cup and seven in the U23 AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, our contributions to the nation’s football landscape are considerable," Jindal added.

The centre further instills a communal spirit among players, featuring a kitchen and pantry offering nutritionally focused meals.

Off-pitch areas include a recreation room for relaxation and a dedicated meeting space for tactical discussions, video analyses, and team briefings.
