The mixed doubles pair of Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna are through to the Australian Open final after beating the 3rd seeded pair of Neal Skupski and Desirae Krawczyk in a super tiebreak.
Sania, who is playing her farewell Grand Slam, ensured she has a shot at glory in her final match at Melbourne Park on Saturday.
The Indian pair, who won the first set 7-6, failed to cash in on two match points during the second set, losing 6-7 in the tiebreak. However, Sania & Bopanna brought their A-game to the super tiebreak where they won 10-6.
36-year-old Sania will now be looking to add another Australian Open title to her trophy list since the 2009 mixed doubles triumph with Mahesh Bhupati.
