Shymkent (Kazakhstan), Aug 27 - Indian shooter Anish Bhanwala showcased a stellar performance at the Asian Shooting Championships on Wednesday, securing a silver medal in the men's 25m Rapid Fire Pistol event.
The 22-year-old Anish concluded the contest with an impressive total of 35, narrowly missing out on the gold by just one point to China's Su Lianbofan.
The bronze medal was clinched by South Korea's Lee Jaekyoon.
Anish initially held a one-point advantage after the first four series, but ultimately slipped behind.
This follows an exquisite display by Olympian Sift Kaur Samra on Tuesday, who clinched the individual women's 50m rifle 3 positions gold, and contributed significantly to India's triumph in the team event.
In total, India has amassed a commendable 72 medals in the competition, which includes junior events.
