Hosur, Aug 29 (PTI) Amandeep Drall clinched her second title of the 2025 season with a stellar performance at the 12th Leg of the Women's Indian Open, outplaying the promising young talent Ananya Garg. Amandeep carded a steady one-under 71 on the final day, securing an aggregate score of two-under 214 over three days.

Having come straight from the Hills Open in Sweden, Amandeep displayed remarkable composure in the closing stages of the event in Hosur. She became the third golfer this season to secure more than one win, joining the ranks of Vani Kapoor, who has claimed four titles, and Sneha Singh with two.

Ananya Garg, the 2024 Hero WPG Tour Rookie of the Year, showcased her impressive skills throughout the tournament. She maintained a one-shot lead with two holes remaining, but a bogey on the 17th hole and a double bogey on the tricky Par-3 18th cost her the title. In contrast, Amandeep only bogeyed the 17th and maintained her composure for a safe par on the last hole, ultimately securing her victory.

Anvitha Narender was also in contention, lying at 3-under for the day and 1-under for the tournament through the first 15 holes. However, a bogey on the 15th and a double on the 18th saw her finish tied for third at 2-over. Ridhima Dilawari, who carded a 73 with three birdies, two bogeys, and a double on the par-4 15th hole, also finished tied third.

Khushi Khanijau, one of the four co-leaders after two rounds, was derailed by a double bogey on the eighth and lost three more shots in the final four holes to finish with a 76. Jasmine Shekar (74) and Sneha Singh (76) shared the sixth spot with scores of 4-over 220. Rhea Purvi Sarvanan (71) finished eighth, while Durga Nittur (73) placed ninth.

Amateur Mannat Brar, who excelled on day one with a leading score of 70 and was among the joint leaders after the second round, struggled on the last day, shooting 80 to finish in 10th place.

A highlight of the tournament was a hole-in-one by Anaggha Venkatesh on the Par-3 11th, where her perfect shot with a 7-Iron into a headwind from 130 yards was a standout moment.

Amandeep Drall's victory moved her earnings to Rs. 11,67,967, placing her second behind Vani Kapoor, who leads with Rs.14,43,667. Ridhima dropped to third with earnings of Rs. 11,64,000, followed by Jasmine Shekar at Rs. 10,85,500, and Sneha Singh at Rs.10,23,567.
