Ahmedabad, Aug 18 (PTI) The much-anticipated ninth edition of the Ahmedabad Marathon is slated for November 30, with the starting line set against the picturesque backdrop of the Sabarmati Riverfront. The organizing committee announced this on Monday.

This year's marathon offers four distinct race categories designed to cater to participants of varying ages and fitness levels: the full marathon, half-marathon, 10 km run, and 5 km run.

Hosted by Adani Sportsline, the marathon will once again take runners from the Sabarmati Riverfront through some of Ahmedabad's most renowned sites, including the Atal Bridge, Gandhi Ashram, and Ellis Bridge.

Central to the marathon's theme is #Run4OurSoldiers, a tribute to the nation’s defense forces, honoring their remarkable contributions during crucial operations earlier this year, most notably Operation Sindoor, which underscored their commitment to national safety.

"The Ahmedabad Marathon has evolved into a cherished tradition, drawing thousands to this vibrant running festival. Its core lies in #Run4OurSoldiers — a poignant demonstration of solidarity, as civilians run alongside the courageous defense personnel," stated Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL). Participants this year will carry the overwhelming pride and gratitude of a nation, deeply moved by the unparalleled valor displayed by our soldiers.
