Kho Kho Players Join CISF: A Significant Step for Indian Sports

New Delhi, September 5 (PTI) A group of 24 Indian Kho Kho players, including 12 women, have successfully joined the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) through the sports quota after excelling in recruitment trials.

A few among these athletes have notable achievements; Shengal Gajanand Maruti and Visag S have previously competed for the Mumbai Khiladis in the Ultimate Kho Kho tournament.

In addition, Meenu has been a part of the Kho Kho World Cup, while Sweety and Ananya Pradhan participated in the India vs Malaysia bilateral series.

The President of the Kho Kho Federation of India (KKFI), Sudhanshu Mittal, remarked, "It is heartening to see our young Kho Kho players successfully making it to the merit list."

He further emphasized that the growing recognition of Kho Kho is creating career pathways and motivating more youngsters to dream big in this sport. This success not only benefits individual athletes but also reinforces the growing stature of Kho Kho in India's sporting landscape.
