Speaker's daughter hits out at trolls over IAS 'backdoor entry' charge

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla's daughter Anjali Birla has hit out at the trolls who questioned her selection in the IAS. Calling for a law against trolling, Anjali, in an interview to NDTV said that social media posts and rumours affected her initially, but later only fortified her resolve. The 23-year-old cracked the premier exam in the first attempt. Her name is also on the merit roll for Civil Services (Main) Examination 2019. But social media posts claimed she had benefitted from her father's position and was selected through "backdoor channels".
