Sony has announced a new compact smartphone, the Xperia 5 II, that packs solid features and an enhanced gaming experience. It gets a 6.1-inch full-HD+ OLED display with HDR support, 120Hz refresh rate, 240Hz touch sampling rate and hardware optimisations to reduce latency by 35 per cent.
It is powered by Snapdragon 865 chipset, paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. There’s a 12MP triple rear camera setup that features Sony’s best-in-class autofocus, supports RAW photography, and can shoot 4K 120fps slow motion videos in HDR.
The phone is rated IP65/68 for dust and water resistance and is backed by a 4,000 mAh battery with up to 21W fast charging. The Sony Xperia 5 II is priced at $949 (~₹70,000) in the US, but there’s no information on Indian pricing and availability yet.
