Social media company Snap Inc., popular for its app Snapchat has said it will no longer promote content from US President Donald Trump's official account on the platform. Snapchat "will not amplify voices who incite racial violence and injustice by giving them free exposure on Discover", a company spokesperson was quoted as saying. The decision reportedly came after the President tweeted threatening protesters with "the most vicious dogs and ominous weapons". While Snap has said advertisements from the Trump campaign will still be active on the platform, Trump's team has accused the platform of "trying to rig the 2020 election", referring to CEO Evan Spiegel as "radical".
