Sikh activists slam Kamala Harris for supporting 'anti-Sikh' policy

Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris' campaign has hit a minor roadblock after a group of Sikh activists launched an online petition demanding an apology for her alleged support of a discriminatory policy in 2011. The activists alleged that Harris defended a policy which prohibited state prison guards from keeping beards for religious reasons. While the policy never came into effect, the activists maintain that it is an opportunity for Harris to 'right a wrong'.
