Shillong's first-ever orchidarium opens

The Institute of Bio-Resources and Sustainable Development (IBSD) has opened Shillong's first orchidarium to enhance eco-tourism in the region. Fertile soil and favourable weather conditions make Shillong an ideal place for orchids. The orchidarium features 20 different varieties, enabling preservation and protection of the flowers.
