Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar, on Friday said that an alliance of opposition parties was not discussed during the all-party meeting held at his residence earlier this week, but he added that an all-party alliance is possible 'only by taking the Congress' into its fold.
Eight opposition parties including the Congress, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Trinamool Congress (TMC) along with others met at Pawar's residence earlier this week to discuss various issues ahead of the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
Pawar's meeting with political strategist Prashant Kishor had also triggered speculations about an alternative front to take on the BJP in 2024.
