Indian equity markets opened higher on Friday following positive global cues.
At 9:25 am, the Sensex was 225 in the green at 36,069 and the Nifty was trading above 10,600, rising 0.56%.
Tata Motors, UPL, Axis Bank, BPCL and L&T were the top Nifty movers.
