After former India captain Sunil Gavaskar called Indian selectors 'lame ducks', MSK Prasad, the chief of selectors have called the remarks unfortunate. Gavaskar questioned the selection committee's decision to stick with Virat Kohli as the skipper despite India's exit from the semifinal stage at the World Cup. Prasad said that the comment was unfortunate but he respects the opinion of the legendary former cricketer and it only makes the selection committee stronger, committed and united. Earlier, former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar also opposed Gavaskar's views on Kohli's captaincy and the stature Indian selectors.
