Although Sanju Samson's scintillating ton could not help Rajasthan Royals as they lost their first match of the season vs Punjab Kings, the debutant captain still feels that the second part of his innings was the best he ever played.
The 26-year-old scored a sparkling 119 in 63 balls while chasing a daunting target of 222 set by Punjab, who won the 4th IPL match by mere 4 runs.
Samson who hit 12 fours and 7 sixes said that he was not timing his shots well in the first half, but by the second half, he was into his rhythm as he started to play his shots.
Though Samson's dismissal came in a heartbreaking manner in the final over, he said that he could not have done better than that and that his team played well.
