Scientists develop a 'pacemaker' for the brain

Scientists from the University of California, Berkeley have developed a wireless device that could potentially work as a 'pacemaker' for the brain. The device called 'WAND' can monitor electrical activity in the brain, thus providing treatment for people suffering from diseases like Parkinson's and epilepsy. It is an autonomous device and when it detects the signs that precede a seizure, it adjusts the stimulation on its own.
