Satya Nadella named Chairman of Microsoft by unanimous vote

Satya Nadella, Microsoft’s CEO will take over as the company's chairman following a unanimous vote by the Microsoft board.

Satya Nadella who has been CEO of the software giant for 7 years will replace an independent director as Chairman of Microsoft. "The board credits Mr Nadella for his tremendous progress driving cultural change across the organization, especially given the unprecedented impact of Covid-19 on our business and our people,” Microsoft said.

Under Satya Nadella since 2014 Microsoft regained the title as the second most valuable technology company, the stock has risen 600% under him as CEO.
