A deadly chopper crash in Tamil Nadu's Coonoor on Wednesday claimed the lives of CDS Bipin Rawant, his wife and 11 other persons.

September 2001, former Civil Aviation Minister and senior Congress leader, Madhavrao Scindia, killed in a chopper crash onm way to UP's Kanpur.

March, 2005: Noted industrialist and Haryana power minister OP Jindal killed in a helicopter crash while on his way to Chandigarh from Delhi.
September 2009: Helicopter carrying the CM of Andhra Pradesh, YS Rajasekhara Reddy crashed into the hills near Kurnool.
April 2011: The helicopter carrying Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Dorjee Khandu crashed in Tawang.
