Paying an artistic tribute to brave martyrs of the Kargil War, a group of sand artists in Prayagraj created sand art to mark the 21st Kargil Vijay Diwas.
On July 26, 1999, the Indian army defeated Pakistan, and commemorating India's victory in recapturing mountain heights that were occupied by Pakistan during the Kargil War, the day is celebrated as Kargil Vijay Diwas ever since.
The artwork created near Sangam in Prayagraj, read 'Salute Our Army' with a floral wreath place beneath.
