While Samsung's latest foldable smartphones sport the Ultra Thin Glass or UTG technology from Samsung Display, the company has reportedly partnered up with smartphone glass maker Corning to develop its own foldable glass technology. The South Korean tech giant reportedly wants to internalise the production process for flexible displays, a task it currently outsources to Samsung Display that makes panels using German company Schott's glass substrate. Reports say Samsung is attempting to develop its foldable displays in-house, in order to lower the costs for its foldable smartphones.
