Sajan Prakash has become the first-ever Indian swimmer to qualify for Olympic Games by beating the 'A' standard time. Sajan broke the qualification mark of 1:56:48 seconds set by FINA which is the world body of swimming at an event in Rome. Sajan clocked 1:56:38 seconds in the men's 200m butterfly event to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics. In the process, Sajan also bettered his own national record of 1:56.96s that he had set last week at an event in Belgrade. The Tokyo Games will be Prakash's 2nd successive Olympics after he represented India at the 2016 Rio Games.
