Archaeologists in Mexico have discovered the ruins of a palace, which they believe dates back to the Mayan civilisation, almost 1000 years ago. According to them, the palace was in use during two periods of Mayan history, between the sixth and eleventh centuries. Discovered in the Kuluba area, the 180-feet long structure appears to have 6 rooms. Before Spain conquered the region, the Mayans ruled large stretches of what is now southern Mexico and Guatemala.
