Space tourism company Virgin Galactic said it will open ticket sales for space flights starting at Rs 3 crores per seat.
The move comes after the company’s billionaire founder, Richard Branson, took a high profile flight to to the edge of space, on July 11.
The space-tourism company said those interested to fly to space will have three options - purchase a single-seat, buy several together or book an entire flight on the eight-passenger spacecraft Unity.

The company is also selling seats for microgravity research and professional astronaut training. Sales will initially open to the company's significant list of "early hand-raisers", says Virgin Galactic.
