Ahead of the crucial 3rd Test vs Australia, Team India announced its Playing XI on Wednesday. Rohit Sharma will open the innings for the visitors as he replaces an out of form Mayank Agarwal. Captain Ajinkya Rahane said, "Talking about his batting, he is batting really well in the nets. He had put 7-8 sessions, came to Melbourne, started his practice straight away. When our Test match got over, he started his practice straight away". Shubhman Gill keeps his place owing to his brilliant Test debut in Melbourne. Hanuma Vihari too keeps his place contrary to reports that he could get dropped. The bowling department is all but same as Navdeep Saini makes his way into the Playing XI owing to an injury to Umesh Yadav. The toss once again will be crucial as a hard & bounce surface laden with grass is expected at the Sydney Cricket Ground for the 3rd Test.
